AI assist

The ✨ Assist panel (editor, top right) handles the tedious parts: importing a menu from a photo or PDF, generating a fresh layout from your items, writing descriptions, and bulk price changes. Every action lands as a preview you accept or discard — the AI never changes your board without you confirming.

1. In the editor or Data tab, choose Import menu and upload a photo or PDF of the existing menu.
2. The AI extracts sections, items, and prices into a review table — low-confidence rows are flagged.
3. Fix anything in the table, then accept. The menu is created in Data, optionally with a generated starter layout.

AI actions spend monthly credits from your plan (copy and bulk changes: 1 credit, layout and menu import: 5). There's also a daily action cap. Out of credits? Everything still works manually — AI is a shortcut, never a gate. When AI isn't configured on this environment, the Assist button hides itself.

• It can propose: layouts, descriptions, whitelisted price operations, imported menus.
• It cannot publish, delete, or touch anything without you pressing Accept.
• Every accepted action is audit-logged with the prompt that produced it.
