Scenes & scheduling

Boards rotate through scenes; time-of-day rules switch scenes automatically; takeovers push a message to every screen.

A board is a playlist of scenes. Each scene has its own layout, a duration, and a transition. Screens keep perfect time with each other — rotation is computed from the server clock, so two TVs side by side flip together.

Rotation & transitions

The scene strip at the bottom of the editor adds, reorders, duplicates, and removes scenes. Set each scene's duration (how long it plays) and transition (crossfade, etc.). A board keeps at least one scene.

Time-of-day scheduling

Time-of-day rules (dayparts) play a scene only during a time window — breakfast until 11am, lunch 11–3, dinner after 3. Outside their window, scheduled scenes drop out of the rotation automatically. Times use your organization's timezone (Settings).

Takeovers

A takeover interrupts the rotation with a full-screen message — 'kitchen closing in 15 minutes' — on one board or every board at once, with an automatic expiry. Takeovers apply to screens within about 30 seconds and never require republishing.

Entrance & loop animation

Elements can animate in when their scene appears and carry a subtle loop animation (Playback tab — visible in Advanced mode). Keep motion slow and rare on signage; it should earn attention, not beg for it.
