Connect Android TV / Google TV

Use the browser-compatible player today and test the exact hardware for unattended sleep, focus, restart, and recovery behavior.

Android TV / Google TV is compatible today through the Canvas Relay browser player. A dedicated native Play Store TV app remains separate work and should not be assumed from this setup guide.

Setup

  1. Open a modern browser available on the Android TV / Google TV device or attached Android TV box and visit player.canvasrelay.app.
  2. Enter the six-digit code in Screens → Add screen, name the screen, and assign a board.
  3. Publish the board and confirm the complete release reaches the TV.
  4. Test the exact device for sleep, browser suspension, reboot/startup, D-pad interaction, and network recovery before unattended deployment.
