Smart-TV built-in browsers (preview only)
Samsung/LG built-in browsers work for a quick preview, but we don't recommend them for unattended playback.
Most smart TVs ship a browser (Samsung Tizen, LG webOS). You can open player.canvasrelay.app there and pair like any device — fine for trying things out. For a screen that runs all day, we recommend a $30 stick instead.
Why not for production
- TV browsers aggressively suspend background tabs and reclaim memory — a signage tab can be killed mid-day.
- They update rarely, so modern video/font features lag.
- There's no kiosk autostart: someone has to reopen the browser after every TV power cycle.
The 'Preview only' label is us being honest, not a lock — nothing is disabled on smart-TV browsers.
