Duplicate, archive, restore, or permanently delete a board

What you may be seeing

• A user wants a safe copy to modify, or an archived board disappears from the normal board list.
• A duplicated board exists but is not live anywhere.

What usually causes it

• Duplicate intentionally creates an unpublished board copy rather than another live release.
• Archive is a reversible visibility flag, not permanent deletion.

Do this

1. On a Board card, use Duplicate when you want a separate copy of its scenes, elements and schedules. The resulting copy is unpublished until you intentionally publish it.
2. Use Archive to hide an old board from the active list without deleting it.
3. Open the Archived section at the bottom of Boards to see archived boards, then use Unarchive to restore one to the active list.
4. Archived boards still count toward the plan's board limit. To recover a slot, open the archived card, choose Delete forever, and confirm permanent deletion.
5. After duplicating, check screen assignment before publishing; existing screens remain assigned to their original board unless you explicitly change them.

You know it is fixed when

• A duplicate appears as its own board and says not published yet until first publish.
• An archived board appears under Archived and returns to the active list after Unarchive.
• After permanent deletion, the board disappears and a replacement board can be created within the plan limit.
