Browser player setup and recovery

What you may be seeing

• A laptop/mini-PC browser is being used as the signage player, or the browser player does not return after restart.

What usually causes it

• The player tab was closed/suspended.
• Browser site data was cleared.
• The machine/browser is not configured to auto-login/reopen the player.
• Autoplay/browser policy affects media behavior.

Do this

1. Open player.canvasrelay.app in a current Chrome/Edge/Firefox-class browser and pair it.
2. Use browser fullscreen/kiosk behavior so the browser chrome is hidden.
3. Keep the player browser profile persistent so its pairing and cached release survive normal reboots.
4. Configure the operating system/browser to reopen the player after restart if this is an unattended production screen.

You know it is fixed when

• After a normal restart, the same device returns to the player without requiring a new pairing and resumes its assigned board.
