Media cannot be deleted because a scene still uses it
Referenced media deletion is blocked so an existing board cannot silently break; replace it in place or remove its usages first.
What you may be seeing
- Delete fails because the media asset is referenced by one or more scenes.
What usually causes it
- The asset usage graph still contains scene references.
Do this
- Open the asset detail in Media and inspect Used by to find the referencing scenes.
- If you want new content everywhere that file is used, use Replace file on the same media asset; those references update automatically.
- If you truly want it removed, edit the listed scenes to replace/remove the asset first, save, then delete the now-unused media.
You know it is fixed when
- The Media usage list is empty before deletion, or every existing reference displays the replacement file as intended.
