Find, tag, organize, or replace media without breaking scenes
The Media library supports kind/tag/name filtering, bulk tags, usage inspection and replace-in-place so referenced assets can be updated without changing every scene manually.
What you may be seeing
- A user cannot find an asset, wants to organize a large library, or needs to replace a file used in many scenes.
What usually causes it
- Media lists are filterable by kind, exact tag text and debounced name search.
- Deleting referenced media is intentionally blocked, but replacing the stored blob for the same media id preserves scene references.
Do this
- Use the Media kind buttons, tag field, or Search name field to narrow the library.
- Select multiple assets and Apply tag when you want a shared organization label.
- Open an asset detail and read Used by before changing/removing it.
- Use Replace file when you want all existing scene references to show the new file without re-linking each scene.
You know it is fixed when
- The intended asset is findable by its tag/name and scenes that referenced a replaced media id render the replacement automatically.
