A board is missing from the Roku board chooser
Roku intentionally lists only boards that are both published and not archived; Save creates a draft but Publish creates playable content.
What you may be seeing
- Roku says to publish a board, shows no choices, or omits the board you expected.
What usually causes it
- The board was saved but never published.
- The board is archived.
- Roku is signed into a different Canvas Relay workspace.
Do this
- In the web app, open the board and press Publish; verify its card shows a feed version instead of 'not published yet'.
- If it is archived, unarchive it from Boards.
- On Roku, press Right to confirm the current account/workspace, then return to the chooser and press OK to refresh when prompted.
You know it is fixed when
- The published, non-archived board appears in Roku and can be assigned with OK.
Worth knowing
- Archived and unpublished boards remain editable on the web but are hidden from native Roku choices to prevent blank playback.
