A previously connected screen returned to the pairing screen
A revoked/invalid browser-class player credential intentionally returns that player to a pairing code; reconnect it only after checking why it was disconnected.
What you may be seeing
- A screen that used to play content now shows a new pairing code.
What usually causes it
- The screen was disconnected/revoked from the dashboard.
- Its stored device credential was cleared or became invalid.
- Browser storage/profile data was wiped on a browser-based player.
- A device/app reinstall removed the stored pairing credential.
Do this
- Check Screens for the old device entry and whether someone intentionally disconnected it.
- If the disconnect was intentional, leave it unpaired or remove/rename the stale entry as appropriate.
- If it should still be active, use the new code on the TV under Screens → Connect a screen and assign the intended board.
- On browser players, avoid clearing the browser profile/site storage used by the player if you want pairing to survive reboots.
You know it is fixed when
- The player stores the new pairing and returns to normal playback after restart/relaunch.
