Sold-out / 86'd item does not look the way I expected on the board
The Data tab stores the sold-out flag, while the board's card/list presentation determines whether a sold-out item is dimmed, stamped, or hidden after publishing.
What you may be seeing
- Data shows an item as 86'd/sold out but the TV still shows it, or shows it in a different visual treatment than expected.
What usually causes it
- Changing sold-out state updates Data immediately, but players receive the changed board/data release after Publish.
- Sold-out is data; the active menu-list/card/stack design determines its visible treatment rather than the Data toggle always meaning hide.
- The visible board element may be static text rather than linked menu data.
Do this
- In Data, verify the intended item says 86'd.
- Confirm the visible board element is linked to that item/menu section rather than static text.
- Publish the board from Data or the editor so paired screens receive the changed data state.
- If the item is still visible but styled as unavailable, check the card/list's sold-out presentation before treating it as a sync failure.
You know it is fixed when
- The linked item on the current published screen reflects the board's configured sold-out treatment.
